Want to hunt club property?

The Reading Archery Club property is open for hunting to members. For those members planning on hunting Reading Archery Club property, please be aware that at the April 2006 meeting the members voted to institute a permit system for hunting on club property. The reason for this is for the clubs protection from unsportsmanlike conduct.

There are two ways members can acquire a hunting permit for club grounds. The first is by contributing 20 hours of work during the year leading up to hunting season or by simply purchasing a permit for the cost of $100.00. The 20 hours of work can be during any of our shoots where we always need help or during an organized work party. Additionally, work tasks can be accomplished outside of these schedules assuming it is done in a way coordinated with members of the board and/or the result is tangible. (i.e. constructing a new target butt, painting, etc.).

As part of the permit, there are some ground rules that were put in place to protect club grounds and ensure that Reading Archery Club members continue their superb level of hunting sportsmanship.
